Similar to maintaining eye contact, you wouldn’t just lean up against someone you didn’t trust or love, and the same applies to your dog. Therefore, when your dog leans into you, it means that it feels completely secure and safe in your presence.
Even if your dog leans into you when it feels anxious, it is only because it sees you as its pack leader – its protector.
